New Hampshire missed toll payment

In New Hamshire, there are only two types of toll lanes in: E-ZPass lane and cash only lane. If you take cash-only lane, you must pay toll before crossing the booth hence there is no concern of missing a toll. But if you did not encounter cash toll collection plaza, you must have passed through E-ZPass lane and tolls which deducts toll from your E-ZPass account (whether E-ZPass NH or other state E-ZPass). However, if you did not have balance in your toll pass account or was using some invalid/non-compatible toll pass that is counted as toll violation.

There is a 7 days grace period to go online and pay toll. If it is within 7 days of your trip, you may make a payment by visiting https://www.ezpassnh.com/ and selecting "Pay a Toll".

If your trip was more than 7 days ago, you are unable to pay the toll until you receive a First Invoice in the mail on your license plate registered address. Once you receive the invoice you can submit payment for the toll and the $1.00 processing fee per transaction. As long as you deposit the payment by the due date no further action will be required. Please note that invoices escalate to a Second Invoice with a $1.50 processing fee per transaction after 30 days and then to a Notice of Toll Violation 30 days thereafter, and a $25.00 fee will be applied. Therefore, please plan to pay for missed toll as soon as you can.

You could also search for invoice online at NH E-ZPass website [1]. Using your license plate details, you should be able to retrieve the invoice and make payment. Online payment can in the same website.

Check payments may be mailed to 54 Regional Drive, Concord, NH 03301-8502. Do not send cash in the mail. Please make checks payable to: NHDOT E-ZPass and include the transaction number(s) with your check.

If you have further questions, please reach out to E-ZPass NH customer service center at toll-free number (877)643-9727.
