Lithuania[1], officially the Republic of Lithuania, is a country in the Baltic region of Europe. There are two categories of highways in Lithuania: expressways and motorways. The toll system for trucks and buses on both the categories of highways is based on vignettes.

Do I need vignette in Lithuania

Yes, Lithuania vignette is mandatory for all motorways in the country for vehicles

  • that carry goods and whose maximum gross weight is over 3.5 tons
  • for vehicles that are used to transport over 8 people and also whose maximum gross weight is over 3.5 tons

Eurovignette is not applicable in Lithuania, it is an electronic toll collection system for vehicles with GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) over 12 tonnes (excluding buses) on motorways and some national roads in Denmark, Luxembourg and Sweden.

Are there toll roads in Lithuania

Yes, for all the vehicles whose maximum gross weight is over 3.5 tons and vehicles whose passenger seating capacity is over 8 seats. Vehicles of categories N1 to N3, M2 and M3 is subjected to tolls for driving on Lithuania’s motorways.

Where can I buy a vignette in Lithuania

When you are driving your vehicle, you can pay a vehicle user charge and purchase a vignette in the fuel stations and at the border crossing points of the Republic of Lithuania. Electronic vignettes are available at vignette distribution points and via a mobile app.

Baltic truck tolls

All the trucks driving through countries such as Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania require an electronic vignette. The truck toll can be paid using DKV CARD via the partner portal A-Toll.
